Background Note
Founded in 1946 by J. Wade Kincaid in Hudson, North Carolina, Kincaid Furniture established a strong industry reputation by manufacturing casegoods primarily from solid wood rather than composite veneers. Following its acquisition by La-Z-Boy Incorporated in 1988, the company expanded national distribution while maintaining its hallmark emphasis on solid Appalachian hardwoods and traditional joinery.
