Last Supper Wooden Serving Board
This handcrafted wooden serving board features an intricate laser-engraved reproduction of The Last Supper above the inscription "God Bless Our Home." Shaped in a classic paddle profile, the board includes a carved handle fitted with a reinforced metal grommet and hanging loop for wall display, while the reverse side offers a flat, unengraved surface suitable for cutting and food presentation.
Background Note
Crafted by Louisiana-based Tee-Lu's Lagniappe, the piece references the regional custom of "lagniappe," a Louisiana French term denoting a small, unexpected bonus or extra gift. In modern decorative woodworking, precision laser engraving has become a prominent method for transferring complex Renaissance religious paintings onto functional domestic items. Dual-purpose serving boards of this style are traditionally designed to hang as devotional kitchen decor between uses as bread or charcuterie boards.
