Laurel Donkervoet Just Married Acrylic Painting
This original acrylic painting on canvas by Laurel Donkervoet features a wedding celebration scene titled "Just Married." The composition portrays five bridesmaids viewed from behind raising celebratory glasses and bouquets toward a bride and groom kissing inside a classic white trolley. Rendered with textured, painterly brushwork against a backdrop of moss-draped trees and a vintage streetlamp, the canvas is signed by the artist in the lower right.
Background Note
Artist Laurel Donkervoet expanded into large-format acrylic painting after relocating from the Pacific Northwest to southeastern Louisiana, drawing direct inspiration from regional landscapes and classic Southern architectural traditions. Her figurative works emphasize celebratory moments and communal gatherings, employing loose, expressive brushwork to capture movement and decorative textiles.
