Background Note
The Pope Gosser China Company was an American pottery manufacturer based in Coshocton, Ohio, operating from 1902 to 1958. Known for its high-quality semi-vitreous dinnerware, the company produced a variety of patterns, often featuring floral motifs like 'Roselyn'. Their pieces were designed to be both durable for everyday use and elegant enough for special occasions, reflecting early to mid-20th century American dining tastes.
