Round Dining Table & Nailhead Chairs
This dining set features a round table with a solid wood top, supported by an ornate metal base. The table base showcases a lighter, scrolled metal frame above a darker, carved section with distinct claw feet. Complementing the table are four wingback dining chairs, upholstered in a light-colored linen or linen blend fabric and accented with individual nailhead trim along their profiles. Each chair is further detailed with a decorative ring pull on the back.
Background Note
The claw-and-ball foot design, prominent on the table base, is a classic furniture motif with ancient origins, symbolizing a dragon's claw grasping a pearl. This distinctive feature became widely popular in 18th-century European furniture, notably during the Queen Anne and Chippendale periods. Its inclusion here, alongside modern transitional upholstered chairs, provides a blend of historical charm and contemporary design.
