Pink Hydrangea Resin Shadow Box

Background Note

This piece exemplifies a contemporary mixed-media art form where crushed glass, a versatile material, is often used to create textured, luminous designs. The resin acts as both a binder and a protective layer, preserving the intricate detail of the glass fragments. Such pieces are frequently handmade, allowing for unique artistic expressions and local craftsmanship. The use of shadow boxes for displaying dimensional art gained popularity in various cultures for presenting everything from natural specimens to intricate collages.
