Striped Slipcovered Swivel Armchair
This armchair features vertical light grey and off-white woven striping across a slipcovered frame with a tailored skirt. Built with clean-lined track arms and a loose back cushion, the piece incorporates an integrated swivel base that allows smooth rotation.
Background Note
Slipcovered upholstered seating gained widespread popularity in residential interiors during the late 20th century as a practical alternative to fixed upholstery. Removable covers allowed for easier cleaning and simple fabric updates without replacing the underlying furniture frame. Neutral vertical striping, historically associated with heavy-duty mattress ticking and utility linens, remains a staple pattern for casual coastal and modern farmhouse decor.
