Background Note
Resin art, known for its glossy finish and ability to encapsulate various materials, gained significant artistic traction in the mid-to-late 20th century, becoming a popular medium for both abstract and representational works. The incorporation of gold leaf in decorative arts traces back to ancient civilizations, where it was used to signify luxury and divinity, a tradition continued in modern decor to add a touch of opulent shimmer. This piece combines contemporary materials with classical decorative techniques, celebrating the enduring appeal of coastal themes.
