Background Note
Serving consoles with expandable tops are a design innovation that gained popularity for their versatility, allowing them to adapt from a compact decorative piece to a more expansive serving station for entertaining. This style, often featuring decorative paneling and an antiqued finish, draws inspiration from traditional European classical or neoclassical furniture designs, emphasizing both utility and aesthetic appeal.
